Biomass Energy: Some Examples
So a friend of mine was interested in real estate Lebanon as he was looking for new investments for the firm he worked at when he was intrigued by a news item on Biomass energy. He called me and asked me to explain. Here is some of what I told him.
Biomass energy can be used as an alternative to fuel. It’s a renewable type energy source that can be created from natural ingredients.
Biological items such as trees and plants are used to create biomass energy. Microorganisms and animals can be also used to obtain this energy. It’s a renewable type of energy and it can be obtained from various sources.
Agricultural waste can be used to produce biomass energy. Wet wastes from green matter, sugar cane, poultry litter are converted into biomass energy. Biogas is another example of biomass energy. Organic materials like plant material, human waste or sewage manure are used to produce this gas.
Cylinders are used to store this gas a nd once it’s stored, it can be for cooking or other works that requires gas. There are some crops that are grown to use commercially. They are produced on a large scale and then converted into fuel. Methanol, ethanol, propanol are created from oil seed and wheat. Vegetable oil is used to create biodiesel.
Fuels created from natural ingredients are nature friendly and less expensive comparing to the other fuels. Woods are also used to create fuel. It can be used for creating electricity on a huge scale.
